My Abnormal Psych class had a visit to the psych ward of Alberta Hospital scheduled for this week. It got cancelled... because of H1N1. Because the hospital staff were worried WE would pick it up. >8( lafknasldkvnadsklvsdsfbkeree I enjoyed my prof's equal amount of dismay about it though.
My guild is full of artists. I went through our art thread on the forum and was surprised because of how many talented people we have. Tis cool. Anyway after sifting through like 20 pages of pics, I felt inspired to do a bit of WoW art as well. I might actually have something nice to colour now. ^_^
This year I would really like to donate some of my stuffed animals to kids who'll use em. I remember there is some kind of Christmas time stuffed animal drive in our area, but I can't remember exactly who runs it. Anyone have any idea what that drive is, or other places I could donate stuffed animals to?
Blah. Gotta go.

How come every time I write an new LJ the text box always defaults to HTML setting? >:( It's supposed to go to Rich text.
Anyways. I thought I was going to be drowning in homework this weekend, but as it turns out, I got everything done really quickly. Despite the masses of akai on my Japanese essay, it didn't take very long for me to edit and rewrite at all. Most of the marks Kobayashi sensei put on it were kanji notes in the first place. I didn't think she'd want to see my horrid attempts at kaomoji (顔文字), emoji (絵文字), and above all kinou (機能 -god you can't even READ 'ki' on the comp), but I guess she does. Bweheheh. Don't say I didn't warn you. Dev psych qs were a breeze too. Maybe I should do some extry text reading.
Nother raid tonight. We better go back to Uld.
I kinda wanna draw right now though.
Dum dee dum dum.
The worst part is I know that in a week I'm going to be swamped. T_T

Still got sore throat and demon eyes. Gonna get an appointment for as soon as I can. Thank the Blob for Otrivin. <3
Library book is finally in, yay! Now I have something to read for another week.
Uhhh. Raid went well last night. Wiped on Iron Council over and over until we skipped them. We were really close the last couple of tries too. Sigh. But aside from the couple DCs I had, it was fun.
And... I have to do Dev psych qs and rewrite Jap essay for Tuesday. Should have lots of time this weekend though. Hope I can borrow someone's notes from Monday in Social Cog.
And now I must be off.

Salute to deh soldiers and vets today.
It's the end of the the mid-semester break. Feeling a lot better except for the fact that my eyes are extremely bloodshot. I look like a demon. It's scary. Have no idea what caused it. And I don't know what I'm gonna do if I have to go to school like this tomorrow... people will think I'm on crack or something. Grr. Stupid eyeballs.
I feel like this break was kind of wasted because I did basically nothing. I spent a lot of it being sick, mind you, but still. It would have been nice to get out a bit. Well actually Nick and I did go see The Men Who Stare at Goats yesterday. There wasn't enough goat starting, imo. Was pretty funny though. And I really loved the concept. It's the kind of thing I used to believe in vehemently. (And saying it like that makes me feel sad. :() We got to go for free because I had a gift card, which I used for the tickets, and as it happens on Tuesdays there's a deal for buying tickets and getting free popcorn and drinks. Pshya. North Ed is SO much better than Clareview.
I finished the book I was reading and the next one hasn't come in yet. Blargh. I need something to read at night!!
Uuuuhhh... I'm really broke in WoW and I need to afford enchants for my new helm YET AGAIN so I'm probably going to daily it up tonight. Since I obviously won't be doing any homework. :>
Oh and GTM sent me the LONGEST survey EVER today. I couldn't get it to work at first, but then I discovered an alternate url that loaded. SO LOOOONG. At least it was kind of relevant and interesting. But it took me like 45 minutes to do. Like if it's gonna take that long at least warn us first! ...And there were no feedback areas for me to bitch in. :[
That's all for now.

So I discovered my Diabolos CD was missing a couple weeks ago when I went to put it in my car, and instead of the CD I found a mixed disc in the case. XP I looked EVERYWHERE for the actual album. Like in CD players no one had used for years, because I thought I just MIGHT have left it in there. And then this morning my mom walks up and says "You've been looking for Diabolos right?" Yeah. "It's been in the bottom of the van for ages." O_O;; Then she handed it over. The damage didn't look too bad, but I decided to give it a play through to make sure it's ok. And here we are. Seems all right so far. I'm on Dispar. Just goes to show how tough CDs really are. Makes me mad that DVDs from the movie store come back with scratches and skips all the time. Obviously you don't even need to take marginally good care of them to avoid that. So WHY.
My throat's really sore. But the rest of me feels fine, so I'm kind of worried that I have some kind of throat infection. Gonna go to the doctor today hopefully and find out. I just PRAY to the Blob that it's not something that is going to require me getting my tonsils out. I cannot afford to get my fucking tonsils out right now. The only time I can afford to do that is over the summer. PERIOD.
I had a cool dream last night. Involved taking classes in my basement. Yar. My Abnormal Psych prof was teaching math or something. And we had a guest TA in Japanese, which was Kirby Morrow. XD (He's an anime voice actor, some notable roles include Miroku from Inuyasha and Van from Escaflowne). Except he kind of looked like Van. Now I had an unrecognized lil crush on Van when I saw Escaflowne for the first time so that's hardly surprising. But the fact that Kirby was assisting in Japanese was pretty surprising. X3 Of course it was a great time for me to finally say hello. The time he was actually at Animethon I was embarrassed for various reasons and I didn't even go to get an autograph (although Aaron got one for me :3). Also there was this room which I guess would correspond to the guest room in the basement that was going to be someone's classroom, and I seem to recall it starting to be painted in another dream. o.O In this dream it was completed. The design was vines and jungle. Looked sweet. And... I guess that's all I really remember.
And I think that's all we have time for. It took me like... this whole CD to write this LJ. :O

Nick's Pokeyman Gaem |

Well, the bugs finally caught up with me. I've been sick all weekend. XP Nick has too, but I think he just has a cold. He's hacking pretty bad right now. I'm rocking the sore throat and muscle aches. My mom seems to think I have the DREADED!flu. To which I say... smeh. I don't really care what it is as long as it gets marginally better by Thursday. The great thing about this week is that we only have 3 days of classes and for me, only one of them is of serious consequence. I'll probably have to stay home tomorrow from Social Cog, but it won't be too bad to catch up. And I have basically no homework. There are things I -could- be doing, but they're not necessary yet. So yeah. If I had to get sick, this is the best time for it.
In other news... did Uld last Thursday. Was ok. I thought I had horrid deeps because I was at the bottom of recount the whole time, but Nick and Aaron assure me that I was doing fine. So... yay? I felt dumb a lot of the time because I wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but hopefully with some more practice I'll get better. The second Uld day is tonight and I still really want to go, but dunno how I'll feel by then.
Watched Highlander for the first time. Very interesting show. So 80s. I didn't know it was about modern-day teims. The villain was pretty hilarious. I think Nick said it best when he described him as a cartoon villain. This screen is too bright mang. I'm out.

Gackt. Doing a PLAY.
The world is funny.
In other news, I just did some reading up on a M of Counselling program in Edmonton that seems pretty neat. Except it's really, really, expensive. Something else for me to consider for grad skewl.
In other news, I forgot to put furigana on my kanji. Oops. Better fix that right now.

So my Japanese class was cancelled due to illness. Sensei was pretty obviously sick on Tuesday but I guess it caught up with her today. Poor thing. T_T Anyways, this means I can hand in my sakubun whenever I want between today and tomorrow at 10am. I think I'ma drop it off before Dev Psych today though. Makes it easy. Wonder if I'll be able to find parking at 11. >_>
Signed up for raid tonight. Acquired two enchants yesterday that topped off the list. I also discovered that my guild forum access was changed so now I can view all of the regular forums. ...I read a lot of stuff that made me feel kind of overwhelmed. They're pretty srs biznes. I mean they like to have fun but it's in a kind of no-nonsense way. Lots of rules and regulations for things. I dunno. I guess I won't really have an idea of how they work until I actually run with em. I might get wait-listed tonight though. Which sucks.
Nick went for his split shift today. Not yesterday, he was still feeling crappy. I guess I can pick him up from the train this morning, actually. I never did tell you about this split-shift thing did I? On W-F he has a 6-9 morning shift and then 5-9 evening shift. You'll notice 9-5 is right out. That's because the people who fund the place are batshit insane. They only pay for 2 workers during the day and SIX in those other shifts. So half the staff end up working then. WTF. It's bullcrap if you ask me. But there's nothing to be done. I just can't wait until my internship. They won't saddle me with shitty hours (at least I don't think they will) and this job that Nick's doing willl be over with. That's all I've got for now.

So today is Nick's first split shift at Boyle, assuming he went. He was feeling rather sick yesterday and told his boss he might not make it in. Didn't text me so I dunno for now. Sigh.
This week's been going very slowly. And I've had a few days to write out my second sakubun, but I'm not entirely sure of one of the things Yuki-san said to me, so I'm not sure whether my conclusions so far are correct. If Mer or anyone would like to help me out, here's a phrase that kind of confused me. Involves "yori".
少し年配の人より10代20代の若い人
I'm not sure whether she's refering to "10-20 year olds (use emoticons) more than old people" or "young people a bit older than 10-20". My first impression was it was the first one, but the internet (dictonary) seems to think it's the second one. But I generally don't trust the internet about this kind of stuff.
K gotta go.
